Auditions

This week we held some open Auditions for all projects, I decided to sit in on them to see if I was a fan of any of the talent that came in. I had not put out any casting calls for the cell specifically so everyone who came in, came to read for other projects, mostly 'THE LAST ONES' and 'THE HEIST'.   

Our first audition was this gentlemen above. He came in to read for the part of Vincent in 'The Heist'. He was really good and very committed to the part, he had an interesting accent which I always listen for. He lived in newcastle but yet had an American accent. 

Next was this gentleman, who I nicknamed Vinnie Jones for what I think are obvious reasons. He also read for Vincent, something about that part seemed to appeal to a lot of actors. He was great and would be perfect for 'The Heist', especially since Tori wants the film to have a Guy Richie feel. 

Even though he read for Vincent I suggested that he would be better for another role as I always imagined Vincent as a a smaller scrappier type of character. Nevertheless He was a must get for the Heist.

Finally, we had this young woman come in, to read for 'The Last Ones'. She read for the part of Ash first which was surprising since it is the only Male part within the film. However it was a shame that no one from The Last Ones crew was present during these auditions, Micheal was around but he was waiting for Actors at the main reception and as producer could offer a lot in terms of the creative side of the production. She was good, and I believe also read for one of the female part which of course I believe she would be better suited for. 

Overall the Auditions were relatively successful, we had a few people come into read. The Heist really benefited from the Casting Call. However, there was no one I particularly saw that would be well suited for The Cell, so the search continues.
